ROOSEVELT’S 3RD ANNUAL PACE-A-THON
COMING 2027
RooFriends’ Pace-a-Thon is one of our school’s largest fundraisers, and your support makes all the difference! It’s the only event where students take the lead—collecting pledges from family and friends and running their hearts out during PE to raise funds that directly benefit Roosevelt.
Did you know that many of our incredible programs—like Robotics, Musical Theatre, Library, After-School Enrichment, and International Baccalaureate activities—aren’t funded by the school district? These opportunities are possible because our community comes together to support them.
Every donation helps keep these programs free and accessible, ensuring that every student has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

The Pace-a-Thon is Roosevelt’s annual school-wide fundraiser built around the PACER test—the Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run that all students already complete in PHE.
It’s not a separate “fun run” event; rather, it’s a way for families to rally around the regular fitness test our students do each month. During the Pace-a-Thon, students will run laps in PHE class to reach their highest personal record for the year, while helping raise funds for the programs that make Roosevelt the coolest middle school around.
We like to think of the Pace-a-Thon as a Jog-a-Thon built for middle school. -
The Pace-a-Thon will take place during all PHE classes on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Students will run during their scheduled class times.
Note: This is a minimum day schedule. -
Every Roosevelt student!
All students will complete the PACER test in their regular PHE class on Wednesday, November 19, whether or not they register.
However, signing up is the only way your student’s efforts count toward our fundraiser—and makes them eligible for prizes and recognition.
Note: Parents must register for students to fundraise and earn prizes (including the registration RooBuck). Student registrations will not count. -
Every student will run, but only those who register on our fundraising site will help raise money for Roosevelt.
When you register, your student gets a personal fundraising page to share with friends and family. Even small pledges make a big difference—supporting enrichment programs like theatre, music, art, gardening, library, and robotics. -

Nope. All students will run PACERs on November 19. All your student misses out on if you don’t sign them up is the opportunity to earn cool prizes and raise money for the programs all Roosevelt students love.

No. Student registrations will not earn a RooBuck or prizes. Parents must register their students for the registration to count.

Donations to the Pace-a-Thon directly support enrichment programs like theatre, music, art, gardening, library, and robotics, plus teacher grants and other activities that make Roosevelt special.
