WE’RE ROOFRIENDS

a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds, recruits volunteers, supports teachers, builds community, and champions opportunities for all students at Roosevelt International Middle School—an IB and Media Arts Magnet School in San Diego’s historic Balboa Park.

RooFriends is governed by a Board of Directors, which has the authority to execute any policies it determines to be in the best interest of the organization within the parameters of the organization’s policies and procedures, bylaws, or federal, state, and local law. The Board of Directors reviews and approves budget items and reviews operations and activities regularly.

The Board is responsible for overseeing monies from fundraisers, managing cash donations, setting annual fundraising targets, and creating short and long-term spending goals to advance the primary objective of supporting the Foundation’s mission at Roosevelt Middle School.

We have several open positions for the 2026-2027 school year. Anyone interested in joining the board is encouraged to attend our April meeting on Tuesday, April 7th at 6pm in the Library (attendance is not required to apply). You will have the opportunity to meet current board members and potential applicants, ask questions, and see how the board works.
